    Competitors - $20 solos and groups, add $5 each for additional group members beyond 2
    This year, we have juniors and seniors competing, plus -NEW RULE- groups compete as a single entry – which means you can also compete in the solo category of your age division if you want.

  • Dance Coalition (a Northwest Arkansas non-profit group of choreographers and dancers) will offer a free cross-cultural dance exhibition during the second annual Worldfest celebration of international education on Friday, November 21, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the common area at the Jones Center in Springdale, 922 E Emma Ave,  Springdale, Arkansas 72764.

    On Friday, November 21, at 7:00 p.m. Dance Coalition will present a cross-cultural dance exhibition featuring Classical Spanish dance by Palillos!, Classical Ballet, Belly Dance by Desert Fire, Lyrical Jazz, Salsa by Ritmo Latino, Street Samba, and more.

    Worldfest is a celebration of international education and exchange, and this is the second year the Jones Center has hosted it.  Other events taking place at Worldfest during the week-long event November 18 - 22 are a “Family Passport Night”, a Travel Class, Cultural Music and Dance Performances, and an International Dinner.  There will also be a display of Christmas Trees from around the world and photography display on show all week.

    Worldfest is part of a nationwide program, International Education Week, designated annually by the U.S. Department of Education and U.S. Department of State to explore and celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange.

  • Dance Coalition will present its Annual Spring Dance Concert at the Walton Arts Center Starr Theater, 495 W. Dickson, in Fayetteville on April 4, 5, and 6, 2008.

    This year’s program will include new choreography in many styles of dance, including classical and contemporary ballet – some inspired by life right here in Arkansas – as well as, jazz and lyrical, modern dance, and Irish dance. Read more…

    Dance Coalition (a local non-profit group of choreographers and dancers) to host 3rd Annual ‘So You Think You Know How to Dance’ Fundraiser to raise funds for continued local community dance events and dance education in Northwest Arkansas. Dancers and audience have the opportunity to come together in the spirit of fun to raise money to support a great local cause. Dance Coalition hosts dance workshops throughout the year with nationally known dance educators, dance concerts showcasing local dancers and choreographers, participates in local arts festivals, and is an education partner with community organizations like the Walton Arts Center and the Jones Center for Families.
