Fayetteville Arts Festival Kick-Off Party
Join the fun at Romance Diamond Co. Wednesday, August 23rd from 6-8pm, for the first Fayetteville Arts Festival summer party. Cocktails will be flowing and we’ll have a delicious array of edibles from Bordinos. Groove to the smooth sounds of jazz duo McLeod/Reyes, as you view work of sculptor Steve Hoover. Steve is donating a piece of sculpture to auction at the Fayetteville Arts Festival.
Steve Hoover, Sculptor
Steve Hoover creates works of wood and steel at his Dead Horse Mountain Studio just southeast of Fayetteville. Recent commissions include sculptures for Washington Regional Hospital, the Kohler residence, and furniture for the Berman residence.
“Working non-objectively allows me to step outside the constraints of everyday visual images while producing subtle references to archetypal forms which interact with the individual on a elemental level. The interplay of light and form, changing throughout the day, evokes the viewer’s own personal response to the sculpture,” says Steve Hoover
Meet Steve at the Romance of Art Party, where he will have five works of sculpture on display, including the piece pictured right.
