From the Walton Arts Center – to the Dancers who participated in the Nutcracker
Congratulations to the over 70 Northwest Arkansas children and young people who performed the children’s roles in Aspen Santa Fe Ballet’s The Nutcracker at Walton Arts Center! We are so grateful for the over 1000 rehearsal hours given by the cast and for the parents of, and the 21 dance studios affiliated with the cast who supported their participation. The children’s choreography in Aspen Santa Fe Ballet’s Nutcracker is more complex than often seen in other touring versions, and the children were required to deliver real acting. The cast was well prepared by ballet mistress Kate Riegler of Springfield, Missouri, and delivered engaging performances. Don’t miss Nutcracker reflections that appear on the Walton Arts Center blog: http://blog.waltonartscenter.org/
