The holidays can be a happy time to spend with family, and a pet from the Fayetteville Animal Shelter makes the perfect new family addition to greet the new year with great joy.
During this joyous holiday season, the City of Fayetteville invites you to come visit the Fayetteville Animal Shelter and say hello to all the neat furry visitors awaiting a warm and loving home. We also, of course, invite you to adopt a pet or talk to us about fostering a pet. The shelter is located at 1640 S. Armstrong Avenue, and is open between the hours of 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Monday through Friday, and open on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. It is a festive time at the shelter, full of smiles and barks, purrs and paws.
We thank the many people who have so graciously contributed to the Shelter’s success over the 2009 year through volunteering, contributions, and providing foster or long-term homes. If you can’t provide a home for one of the wonderful pets at the shelter, there is so much you can do to increase their happiness and help them find a loving home.
The Fayetteville Animal Shelter is proud to present the first annual Home for the Holidays Sponsorship Drive. The Home for the Holidays Sponsorship Drive will make it easier for these loving animals to find homes by having local businesses sponsor their adoption fee. A pet is an investment, and in these tough economic times it can be difficult for people who will provide a loving home to make that initial investment of $60.00. By sponsoring a dog or cat, you will greatly increase their chances of finding their forever home. A copy of your sponsorship card will be placed on an animal’s kennel informing their potential new family of the contributing sponsorship.
The Fayetteville Animal Shelter is also proud to sponsor the 2009 Jingle Bells and Wagging Tails Donation Drive. You can sponsor the shelter with a holiday gift of cleaning supplies (paper towels, bleach, laundry detergent, sponges, dish soap, odoban, window cleaner, trash bags, hand sanitizer, and towels) or animal care items (toys for dogs and cats, treats for dogs and cats, canned food, non-clumping cat litter, and blankets).
