Art Amiss Inc., a local artists’ collective, will hold its semi-annual show from 7pm to 10:30pm on Wednesday, November 11th at the Dickson Street Theater. This all ages, multi-media event will open at 7:00pm, with a $7 admission charge. Tickets are available for purchase at the door.

Art Amiss 11 will showcase the work of visual artists along with musicians, fashion designers and a team of installation artists to create a diverse yet cohesive art extravaganza. The art show will take place in the Dickson Street Theater, located on the south side of Dickson Street between Church Avenue and Locust Avenue.

A kinetic fashion show will showcase the work of hair and makeup artists.

The evening features a live preview performance by Teri Card Heller and her new ensemble SIRĂ‹oNa. Teri will premiere the full performance on Thursday, November 12th at Teatro Scarpino. Check out the event page here – http://tinyurl.com/SIREoNa
Also, an eclectic compilation CD featuring the music of 12 Arkansas artists will be distributed to the first 200 patrons to arrive at the event, free with admission.

An anthology of fiction, poetry, and literary translation will also be distributed free to the first 200 guests. From 9:30 until 11, five local writers will read from their poetry and fiction at Nightbird Books.

The show will include works from artists who are native to or residents of Arkansas. Juried works shown at Art Amiss 11 are for sale, and buyers are welcome. Participating artists will be on hand to talk with the public throughout the evening.

Immediately following Art Amiss 11, an afterparty featuring live performances by Little Rock hip-hop artist 607 and Austin, Texas’ DJ NickNack will be held at Club Fix, inside Willy D’s right across the street from the Dickson Street Theater. 21+ and admission is $5, but 2 for 1 admission if you attended Art Amiss!!
