Fayetteville, AR – Artists of Northwest Arkansas are partnering with the City of Fayetteville’s Department of Parks and Recreation to host the 6th Annual Wilson Park Artwalk on Saturday, October 3, 2009, from 9:30 AM – 2:30 PM.
This event features over 20 of the area’s top artists who will set up exhibits along the trail at Wilson Park for citizens and spectators to see numerous paintings and a variety of other types of art work. Pieces will be for sale to the public with a portion of the proceeds benefiting public art projects in Fayetteville’s parks. Children’s art activities will be provided throughout the day.
Additional activities and events will also be taking place throughout the day as part of Artwalk.
The Ozarks Philharmonic Youth Orchestra will perform from 10:30-11:15 am in the parking lot on the north side of the Wilson Softball Field. Savvy Shields, Miss Arkansas’s Outstanding Teen, will be at Artwalk from 11:00-12:30 to meet the public and sign autographs. Also, the Patrick Burton Farmer’s Insurance Agency will be sponsoring a M.I.L.K. and E.A.R.S. Program from 10:00 am until 2:00 p.m. that is part of the first step in the Amber Alert, and will provide a free digital ID of children or pets, along with a free goodie bag that includes brochures and the Home Organizer CD.
