“Back from Krypton”, an exhibit of recent painting by Jan Gosnell will be on display during the month of September in The Vault Gallery at the Fayetteville Underground located on the East side of the Fayetteville Square. An artist’s reception will be held on the “First Thursday”, September 3rd from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.

During his career, Jan has had numerous one man exhibitions and has also shown competitively in such regional exhibitions as “The Mid-South” in Memphis and “The Delta” in Little Rock. He has also garnered several first place awards for his editorial cartoons from the National Newspaper Contest and the Arkansas Press Association. Additionally, Jan has contributed art work for three films, the most well known being “The Blue and the Gray” filmed in Northwestern Arkansas. He is also author and illustrator of the book, Shape Makes the Man. At present, Jan draws editorial cartoons for The Fayetteville Free Weekly, teaches Advanced Drawing and Painting at Northwest Arkansas Community College, and paints in his studio in The Fayetteville Underground.
