The Fulbright College department of music at the University of Arkansas and KUAF are pleased to announce the inaugural season of the KUAF/Fulbright Chamber Music Festival with six Thursday evening chamber music concerts featuring music department faculty and guest artists.  Concerts will be offered May 21 and 28 in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall, The Fayetteville Public Library on June 4 and June 11, 18, and 25 in the Parish Hall of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.  All concerts will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be followed by a reception.  Admission to all concerts will be free, with an opportunity for donations.  The public is invited to attend.

The first concert will open with a Mozart Quartet for flute and strings, featuring Ronda Mains, flutist.  This will be followed by the Sonata for Violin and Piano by Gabriel Faure, with violinist Er-Gene Kahng and pianist Anne-Lise Longuemare, from Los Angeles.  After intermission, the concert will close with the famous “Trout” Quintet by Franz Schubert.  Programs for future concerts will be announced via e-mail from the UA music department.  To receive these updates, please visit http://music.uark.edu and subscribe to their mailing list at the bottom of the page.

The Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall is located in the Fine Arts Building on the UA campus.  Free parking is available in the parking deck, which can be accessed from Stadium Drive and is located directly to the west of the Fine Arts Building.  The Fayetteville Public Library is located at 401 W. Mountain Street.  Parking is available in their parking deck.  St. Paul’s is located just off Dickson Street at 224 N.
