The Drawer Boy
By Michael Healey

It’s 1972. In this heartwarming comic drama – winnerof Canada’s coveted Dora Award – an idealistic young actor plants himself on a working farm to research a new script he’s developing. Much comedy ensues in his encounter with the two farmers who own the place, but before long he unwittingly turns up long-buried memories of love and war. In the end, three lives are forever altered in this play about the true meaning of friendship and redemption.

“Heartfelt honesty and the kind of storytelling
good theatre is all about.” – Variety
