Dance Coalition (a Northwest Arkansas non-profit group of choreographers and dancers) will host the 4th Annual “So You Think You Know how to Dance?” Competition and Fundraiser event at the Clarion in Fayetteville, 1255 S. Shiloh Dr., Fayetteville, AR 72701, on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 6:30 p.m.

The event kicks off with an Appetizer Hour & Silent Auction featuring the live musical talents of celebrated local pianist, Jonathan Story.   The dance competition, which will be hosted by KNWA’s Brad Reed and Carley Gordon, will feature dancers of all ages and dance styles showing off their best moves for the competition judges, Jerry Kendrick, Leslie Zanoff, and Jennifer Davis.  The audience will get to vote with their donation dollars for their favorite top dancers, who compete for trophies and dance scholarships.

Dancers can register for the competition by visiting www.dancecoalition.com, completing a registration form, and mailing it with their registration fee by Tuesday, February 17, 2009.  Cost to register is only $20 for solos or duos.  Groups add $5 per additional person.  Entries are limited to 25 juniors (ages 7 – 13) and 25 seniors (ages 14 – adult).  A duo or group is considered a single entry, and dancers may compete as both a solo and in a group if they would like.

Appetizer Hour and Silent Auction Tickets (which include premium seating for the competition) are $25 and General Admission for the competition is only $10.

All proceeds go toward local dance education events and performances for the Northwest Arkansas Community.   Dance Coalition prides itself in providing quality dance education and performance opportunities for local dancers and choreographers at very low costs for the community.
