The Fulbright College department of music will feature classical saxophonist Stan Morris in recital on Wednesday evening, April 2 at 7:00 p.m. in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall.  Morris will be joined by Kristen Harwell, piano, and UA professor Dr. Er-Gene Kahng, violin, to present works by Percy Grainger, Walter Hartley, Erwin Schulhoff, and Maurice Whitney.  Also featured on the program is the work The Fields on the Edge of Forever, written by Dr. Robert Mueller, UA professor of composition, in 2002.

UA Saxophone professor, Stan Morris is also a graduate of the University of Arkansas.  He completed four years as a Naval musician, including a two year tour with the Naval Sixth Fleet in Europe, before completing a Master of Fine Arts degree in Saxophone Performance at the University of Georgia.  An active performing artist and clinician, he is listed on the touring roster of the Arkansas Arts Council.

The Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall is located in the Fine Arts Building on the UA campus.  Free parking is available in the parking deck, which can be accessed from Stadium Drive and is located directly to the west of the Fine Arts Building.  The admission is free and the public is cordially invited to attend.  For more information, please call the department of music at (479) 575-4701.
