Auditions January 26 & 27 And Spring Classes Begin Februaury 11th!
The Willard and Pat Walker Charitable Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to support charitable, religious, scientific, literary and educational endeavors, has generously donated a sponsorship for the upcoming Arts Live Theatre production of Grease,
A strong supporter of the arts, the foundation has previously sponsored the Arts Live production of James and the Giant Peach. Through their support, Arts Live Theatre has been able to grow in programs, staff and in student body, offering the youth of Northwest Arkansas outstanding theatrical opportunities allowing growth as artists and individuals through creative expression and self confidence.
Auditions for GREASE will be Saturday January 26th, 11am-2pm and Sunday, January 27th, 1pm-3pm with callbacks Thursday, January 31st, 5:30pm-7pm. Auditions will be held at Arts Live Theatre, 1378 North College located in the Evelyn Hills Shopping Center in Fayetteville. Ages 10-18 are invited to audition with a song of the actors choice to be sung acapella and actors will be asked to read from the script. Rehearsals will begin in February with production dates May 9, 10 & 11. Actors are asked to bring a non returnable photo to the audition. Missy Gipson directs.
Spring classes begin February 11th for 10 weeks through April 25th. The spring semester
classes include for grades K-1 three sections of Playmakers 1 with a choice of days including Mondays, 4:00pm-4:45pm, Wednesdays, 4:00pm-4:45pm and Thursdays, 4:00pm-4:45pm. Playmakers 2 for grades 2-4 have a choice of Mondays, 5:00pm-6:00pm, Tuesdays, 4:00pm-5:00pm and Wednesdays, 6:00pm-7:00pm. For grades 5-7 Spring Into Improv on Mondays, 6:00pm-7:00pm and Introduction to Acting meeting on Tuesdays, 5:00pm-6:00pm. Theatre Lab Classes for grades 8-12 include Broadway Bound Advanced Acting, Wednesdays, 6:00pm-7:00pm, Comedy Company Advanced Comedy Improv Performance, Thursdays, 5:00pm-6:00pm, Lights! Camera! Action! Television Production Workshop, Saturdays 10:30am-12noon. Enrollment is limited and class fee must be paid in advance to secure a spot.
