“Treasured in Arkansas” is a Valentine’s art show and sale of the handmade jewelry of six Northwest Arkansas artists. The show will run at Poor Richard’s Art in Rogers from February 9 through February 23.
The holiday event features the treasures of these Arkansas living treasures:
Pam Belcher fashions delicate beaded jewelry that incorporates semiprecious stones as well as natural objects.
Sally Bowen describes her jewelry as “earthy and imaginative”, often incorporating dramatic raku pendants and beautiful prehistoric relics.
Lori Diaz makes necklaces and earrings that combine beads with hand-blown glass and colorful materials.
Sara Lyon creates colorful polymer clay necklaces and bracelets featuring handmade beads in many shapes and patterns.
Sandra Parker specializes in colorful, highly textured jewelry creations using precious and semi precious stones as well as handmade silver and other natural and fabricated materials.
Mary Stewart’s unique silver jewelry reflects natural and architectural forms combining environmental and mystical shapes with exquisite colors and hues.
Most of the jewelry displayed in the “Treasured in Arkansas” show is for sale at prices under $100.
The public is invited to an artist reception from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 9. Poor Richard’s Art will have treats and fun door prizes! Poor Richard’s Art is located at 116 S. First Street in Historic Downtown Rogers (479-636-0417). Store hours: 9:30am to 5pm Monday through Saturday.
