The Rural Mountain Producers Exchange is seeking design submissions for the 2008 Fayetteville Farmers’ Market’s season poster and T-shirt/shopping-bag designs.
Design proposals will be accepted through Dec. 15 and the winning design will be used for the market’s promotional efforts throughout 2008.
Design proposals need not be completed products, but must clearly present the design concepts. The creator of the selected design will receive $125 in cash or Fayetteville Farmers’ Market gift certificates.
Each submission must include a brief background of the artist’s work experience as well as name, address and phone number or e-mail. RMPE will own and keep the originals of the selected designs. Submissions must include written permission to use the design in whole or in part in any way to promote the market.
The poster design must include the wording “Fayetteville Farmers’ Market,” “Fayetteville, Arkansas” and “2008”; have a width-height ratio between 1:1 and 1:1.3 (appropriate for 11- x 17-inch reproduction); be attractive and eye-catching; capture the essence of the Market; and be reproducible.
Design proposals can be submitted to RMPE, P.O. Box 3076, Fayetteville, AR 72702. The winning design will be announced Jan. 4, 2008, and a finished product is needed by Feb. 1, 2007. A poster signing event will be scheduled during Farmers’ Market to promote the artist, the design and promotional items for the Market.
