Thieves of Baghdad author Matthew Bogdanos

Wednesday October 18th, 7 pm at the Fayetteville Public Library in the Walker Meeting Room

Sponsored by the Roberta Fulbright Society.

Col. Matthew Bogdanos, a US Marine & New York City homicide prosecutor, was charged with recovering some of the most significant artifacts in the history of mankind. The items were looted from the Iraq National Museum immediately following the invasion. He will recount his stunning mission amidst the chaotic world of post-war Bagdad.  From everyone we have spoken to, his lecture is wonderful. As one librarian stated, who recently finished his book, “This guy is the real deal!”

Copies of Thieves of Baghdad will be available for purchase. The author will sign copies after the program.  All of Col. Bogdanos royalties from the sale of the book go to the Iraq National Museum.
