Do you know Your T2 Company? Besides getting ready for the play and raising money, here’s what we’ve been up to lately:

Morgan Hicks (General Manager): Morgan has been staying busy as usual. She taught a class at the Walton Arts Center over Spring Break for Jr and Sr high students. The class studied the script for TheatreSquared’s future production of Cyrano (Feb 2007), and approached it as a radio play. The students did an amazing job of coming up with dozens of sound effects and even composed original music that complimented their reading. A few weeks ago, Morgan hit the town at the First Night International conference in Virginia. She’s the Event Coordinator for First Night Fayetteville, and will be looking for some good ideas for New Year’s Eve 2007!.

Kassie Misiewicz (Managing Artistic Director): Kassie has been searching for the right balance between being a stay-at-home Mom to Maeve (1 yr old) and a professional theatre artist. Over the past few months, Kassie has been teaching drama at Root Elementary, Brownie Day at the Walton Arts Center, developing and teaching outreach workshops for the University of Notre Dame while preparing to direct Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse for T2 this summer. FYI – this is one of Kassie’s favorite plays for young audience – she loves Lilly’s bold red cowboy boots and the matching attitude.

Amy Herzberg (Associate Artistic Director): Amy is crazy busy directing Bad Dates. She just finished teaching, putting together the new MFA-Acting class for the Fall 2006 and directing University of Arkansas’ fabulous musical Into the Woods. She’s thrilled to be working with Rebecca Harris who was a

Bob Ford (Playwright-in-Residence): Has been teaching two classes (Novel and Screenwriting) at the library and the Arkansas Playwrights Workshop (meeting Monday nights 7pm at library). It’s FREE so drop by and say “Hello”. He’s also working on his next novel – something completely different than The Student Conductor.

David Pickens (Producing Artistic Director): David’s just completed acting in a movie tentatively called Sugar Creek and directed by James Cotton, a Fort Smith native. The film had the largest contingent of Arkansas talent in a motion picture of this size and is being scored by the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra and. Casting was done through Stage 28, LLC. David is busy pulling together the artistic team for Bad Dates and planting his garden.
